Industry predictions estimate 6,362 new jet sales worth $217.5 billion between 2020 and 2029. Even more optimistic predictions estimate 7,300 new private aircraft sales worth $235 billion between 2021 to 2030.
The ongoing upsurge in the market for private air travel is creating records and is opening a gateway for more comfortable, quick hassle free and lavish air travel experience all at once.
But there is a possibility that some air charters may not be able to gauge through specific criteria that you expect. So, in order to have safe air travel which meets your requirements there are some areas that you may want to look at as a buyer before finalizing a deal.
As safety is the primary reason that people are turning towards private air charter travel -
1) You would want to know the total flight hours of the crew and, even more important, how many hours each crew member has in the model of that aircraft. Ensure that newer, less experienced pilots are paired with pilots who have more experience in the aircraft.
2) How often does the charter operator conduct training for crew conducting these flights?
3) You can ask for the tail number, airworthiness certificate and year of manufacture of the aircraft to know whether the aircraft is fit to use. On average an aircraft is operable for 30 years.
How soon prior to the scheduled flight will the aircraft be at the airport ready for departure? Generally, a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the scheduled flight time is desired.
5) Inquire about the charter operator’s insurance coverage.
6). Prior to the flight, obtain a certificate of insurance confirming the coverage and specifically identifying the aircraft that will be used. Industry standards are for consumers to acquire proof of insurance coverage under the operator’s aviation insurance policy.
These are the necessary fields that are important to be addressed before making a flight.
Be an aware consumer and ensure safety before traveling through any private air charter.
